ELEVATOR OUTAGE
By this memo we are requesting an elevator outage to perform maintenance repairs for Gibbs Hall on October 2, 2008 from 8:00am until 10:00am.
By this memo we are requesting an elevator outage to perform maintenance repairs for South College on October 2, 2008 from 10:00am until 12:00pm.
By this memo we are requesting an elevator outage to perform maintenance repairs for Buehler Hall on October 2, 2008 from 12:30pm until 2:30pm.
By this memo we are requesting an elevator outage to perform maintenance repairs for Dunford Hall on October 3, 2008. We will start with the West elevator from 8:00am until 9:00am. and the East elevator from 9:00am until 10:00am.
By this memo we are requesting an elevator outage to perform maintenance repairs for Art & Architecture on October 3, 2008 from 12:30pm until 2:30pm.

If for any reason any of your building occupants need access to the elevator during this outage please notify the Preventive Maintenance Office at 974-5346 and we will have the mechanic release the elevator.

Requests for Elevator Service
Elevators, like all electrical and mechanical equipment, experience malfunctions from time to time. The University has a maintenance agreement with an elevator service company to perform preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance on all Campus elevators. To assist building occupants with obtaining the fastest service possible when a malfunction occurs, the following procedure should be used:
8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday
Call Campus Extension 4-2453. During these hours, there will always be someone present who can contact the elevator service company responsible for any Campus elevator and can get immediate assistance to anyone trapped on an elevator which has malfunctioned.
5:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M., Monday - Friday
Call Campus Extension 4-2158. During these hours, there will always be someone present who can take your call and determine if the elevator service company should be called immediately or whether service should be obtained the next working day. Unless there is someone trapped on an elevator or the malfunctioning elevator is the only elevator available in a building with high traffic usage, next day service will be the rule due to increased labor rates charged by the elevator service companies for after normal working hour calls. In any case, the initial call for elevator service during the hours noted above should be to Campus Extension 4-2158.
12:00 A.M. - 8:00 A.M., Monday-Friday & All Hours Saturday, Sunday & Holidays
Call Campus Extension 4-3114. Your call will be taken by the U.T. Police Dispatcher who will contact the appropriate Facilities Services personnel. Appropriate action will be initiated based on the facts and situations similar to those described above for the period 5:00 P.M. - 12:00 A.M., Monday - Friday.
