Green Businesses in Knoxville
What are green businesses?In general, “green businesses” sell goods & services that are better for the environment than traditional goods and services sold in other stores. Examples would include organic foods, free-range meats, recycled items (clothing, jewelry, books), and fair-trade items. In addition, many of these businesses make an effort to operate in a more sustainable way by recycling their waste, practicing energy conservation, using less toxic or non-toxic chemicals, or in other ways. Most of these businesses are locally owned.
