Computer Services

The Computer Services section of the Facilities Services Department develops and maintains in-house applications, responds to the hardware/software issues of the department, and coordinates with other departments and outside vendors on computer issues relating to Facilities Services.


Some systems currently managed by Computer Services:

Chemical Inventory System
Kronos Time Control System
SCADA Systems
Campus Security System

Chemical Inventory System: A Web-based  inventory system that allows all campus departments to inventory and catalog their hazardous chemicals. Also integrates MSDS information and provides reporting to Environmental Health & Safety. Click here to use the system.


Kronos Time Control System: A networked time clock system (serving most departmental employees), a Voice-Response unit (allowing phone-in time card punching), and managerial software; all  supported and maintained by Computer Services personnel.


SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition):
Computer Services manages several SCADA systems that monitor and control Air Conditioning controls and Electrical systems located throughout buildings and other campus areas.


Campus Security System: A backup support system is maintained by Computer Services in the event that Campus Police's primary security system should fail or be taken temporarily offline.


Web Cams: several web cams are maintained and operated by Computer Services throughout the campus (private & public) to provide security recordings as well as parent/student access to streaming video of campus life.
